After several delays, Google has finally unveiled its second mid-tier Pixel phone. The Google Pixel 4a is currently available for pre-order in the US via the Google Store. The phone will go on sale starting August 20 through the Google Store, BestBuy, Amazon, and other stores in the US.
Google Pixel 4a Price
The Google Pixel 4a is priced at USD 349 (Roughly Rs 26,300) and is available in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The phone arrives in a single Just Black colour. The Google Pixel 4a will launch in India in October through Flipkart, although there is no information on pricing yet.
Google Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 (5G)
There is no Google Pixel 4a XL this time out. Instead, Google has gone ahead with pre-announcing the Pixel 4a 5G, which will feature a larger display priced at USD 499 (Roughly Rs 37,600). Additionally, Google has also announced the Pixel 5 (5G) with no information on pricing yet. It is worth noting that both 5G Pixel devices will be limited to select 5G markets and won’t arrive in India and Singapore.
Google Pixel 4a Specs
The Google Pixel 4a is powered by the Snapdragon 730G SoC. The phone packs a 3,140 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. While battery capacity seems less, Google has made optimisations to get the best out of the battery. The Google Pixel 4a sports a 5.81-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display supports HDR content and 443ppi of pixel density.
In optics, the Google Pixel 4a has a 12 MP camera sensor with an f/1.7 aperture with optical image stabilisation. On the front, the punch-hole camera cutout houses an 8 MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera features include Live HDR+, Night Sight, Portrait mode, and Dual Exposure Controls.
The Google Pixel 4a features a headphone jack, stereo speakers and two microphones, along with noise suppression support. The Pixel 4a has an Always-On Display and a Now Playing feature when the screen is locked.
