HDFC Life | HDFC offloaded 1.28 percent equity stake in its listed subsidiary HDFC Life Insurance Company. The corporation has sold 2.6 crore equity shares (representing 1.28 percent of total paid-up equity of HDFC Life) at Rs 490.22 per share, as per the bulk deal data available on the BSE. The above bulk deal was worth Rs 1,274.57 crore, while HDFC Life's market capitalisation stood at Rs 1,01,241.34 crore. Among other deals, founder Haridas Thakarshi Kanani sold 4,00,002 shares of Neogen Chemicals at Rs 473.25 per share, while his wife Beena Kanani offloaded 7,26,002 equity shares at Rs 473.53 per share on the BSE.

Cholamandalam Investment Q4 | Company reported a 85 percent decline in net profit to Rs 43 crore in the fourth quarter ended March, due to higher provision of Rs 504 crore related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the possible macroeconomic threats. It had reported a net profit of Rs 292 crore in the corresponding period last year. For the full year, the PAT stood at Rs 1,052 crore, down 11 per cent as compared to Rs 1,186 crore in 2018-19.

Punjab National Bank | Bank announced to lower interest rate on savings account deposits by 0.50 percentage point, effective July 1. For deposits up to Rs 50 lakh, the new interest rate will be 3 percent, down by 0.50 percent from 3.50 percent. Deposits of Rs 50 lakh and above will earn interest of 3.25 percent as against 3.75 percent currently. The rate of interest on savings fund deposit has been reduced with effect from July 1, 2020, Punjab National Bank said in a tweet.
